Nagarkurnool, May 19: Former MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy has flagged in a statement on Tuesday that the Revanth government is acting carelessly on the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift scheme which was ambitiously undertaken by the KCR government. Even though 90 percent of the works were completed during the BRS regime, the Congress government did not lift the soil in two and a half years.

Today, the government woke up to the decision to take up the padayatra as part of the BRS struggle and said that it is ready for a review. He alleged that the cost of the project is increasing due to the laziness of the Congress and that the work is not being taken up deliberately with the belief that if the remaining 10 percent is completed, all the credit will go to KCR.

Revanth, who claims to be the child of Palamuru, was angry that he did not review the projects of Palamuru even once. He said that if the works were completed, it would have been possible to store up to 45 TMC of water in Narlapur, Yedula, Vattem and Karivena. He criticized the CM for conducting a review with the District Congress MLAs on Palamuru projects on Tuesday as they planned to bring KCR to the end program after starting the struggle. He asked to take immediate steps to repair the two damaged motors in KLI and make all five motors running.
