Jagityala, May 19 (Namaste Telangana): The Congress government has stopped the vehicle facility for Mandal Development Officers who are performing key responsibilities in the administration of mandals. Until March 2023, the then KCR government paid Rs. 33 thousand has been paid. When the Congress government came, the MPDOs had to pay money from their pockets as they did not provide funds for the rental vehicles.
In the financial year from April 2024 to March 2025 and in the financial year 2025-2026, the government has completely removed the provision of rental vehicles for MPDs. MPDOs are no longer able to hire vehicles from private individuals.
MPDOs are banging their heads
MPDOs are facing severe difficulties as the government has removed the rental vehicles. The MPDOs complain that they do not understand how to monitor the zone without a vehicle. In April 2023, the then government had given a provision for rental vehicle, Rs. per MPDO for 12 months. They expressed their concern that they have to pay rent of 4 lakhs and they have been in trouble for two years without a vehicle.
He questioned that the government, which has not provided funds since April 2023, has given orders to set up private vehicles in May and June 2026. How reasonable is this? It is stated that if the administration of the villages is done properly and the people want proper governance, the government needs to provide vehicle facilities.
