- Sarkar’s corrective measures on title dispute
Hyderabad City Bureau, June 11 (Namaste Telangana): Sarkar is in a dilemma over the auctions of Kirikiri plots. In the background of the absurdity in the attempt to tie the titleless lands to the traders… this auction process has been postponed to next month. A notification has been issued for auctioning 8.24 acres of prime land in Hakimpet village survey number 102/1 under Shakepet mandal. HMDA has decided to hold a pre-bidding meeting on Friday for which the minimum price per acre has been fixed at Rs.99 crore and has made preparations to auction the land on the 19th of this month.
However, the prebid and auction schedule has been shifted to July 2 to avoid controversy for administrative reasons. However, as Yamuna Nagar Co-operative Housing Society and construction companies entered the field claiming that they have a share in these lands, the auction process was stopped until the boundaries of the land auction were settled and the title dispute was settled. Due to opposition from locals too, the auction was withdrawn.
Rethinking the Medipalli Venture
It is known that HMDA is reconsidering the auction of Medipalli lands. The sources of HMDA inquired as to how the lands once auctioned were included in the prohibited list. However, in the past, it has been included in the prohibited list with the orders issued by the district administration to the Stamps and Registration Department, considering it to be government land. As this matter came to the notice of HMDA… it is reported that corrective measures have been taken. However, the officials are of the opinion that it is better not to auction the 68 plots of the Medipally HMDA venture until the revenue department gets a clarification.
But, it is reported that the government has given special instructions and ordered that land auction should be held for the plots in the prohibited list. But the authorities are discussing that the government is not at the stage of considering the fact that no buyer will come forward if it is in the prohibited list. In view of the current financial needs, it has been clarified that even the disputed lands have to be tied up and money is made.
