Political objections are being expressed over the name of the newly formed Telangana Raksha Sena (TRS) party led by former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha.
Hyderabad, June 11 (Namaste Telangana): Political objections are being expressed over the name of the newly formed Telangana Raksha Sena (TRS) party led by former MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and others filed a complaint with the Central Election Commission (ECI) seeking not to assign this name to the new party. The EC has so far received more than 700 objections on the registration of the TRS party name led by Kavitha.
The BRS leaders reminded that their party was associated with Telangana sentiment for decades under the name Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and that name was recognized among the people. So they requested that the name of TRS should not be assigned to another party. The deadline set by the EC to raise objections on the name of Kavita’s party ended on 1st of this month.
