- Will you water from the dried up jurassic trees in January?: Former Minister Srinivas Gowd
Hyderabad, May 21 (Namaste Telangana): Former minister Srinivas Gowd said that a padayatra will be undertaken next month under the auspices of BRS for the early completion of the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift scheme which was sidelined by the Congress government. It has been revealed that the date will be announced soon and this trip will go from Narlapur to Udandapur. He said that CM Revanth Reddy started the reviews in a hurry because of the fear of BRS going on a padayatra, and it was ridiculous that at least the irrigation officers were not included in it.
He spoke to the media at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday. He reminded that Nadu KCR had designed this project with the utmost prestige with the intention that not even an acre should dry up in Palamuru district. It was mentioned that during KCR’s tenure, the works of Narlapur and Yedula reservoirs along with the five main reservoirs were 95 percent completed and the works of canals were also completed by 98 percent. The project, which was almost completed during the BRS regime, was criticized for being canceled after the Congress government came to power.
They demanded immediate recall and completion within six months. CM Revanth Reddy has strongly objected to the appointment of Adityanath Das, who worked as the Chief Secretary in AP and criticized Telangana’s water shares, as the Irrigation Advisor. Can’t Revanth find any advisors in the state? He asked. He expressed his concern that the AP and Central governments have become one, and due to the absence of BRS MPs in Delhi, injustice is being done to the state.
How do you give water from dates?
Srinivas Gowd challenged that Palamuru was dried up under the previous regime of Congress and TDP, and if they dare, even the Congress leaders should go on a padayatra and show the people what they have done. He criticized CM Revanth Reddy’s statement that if the Joora project dries up in January, then water will be supplied from there, as proof of his lack of understanding. They complained that the government is not paying attention to the possibility of lifting water from Srisailam in the month of May.
Jupalli Krishna Rao, who was a minister during the BRS regime, himself took them and showed them the project works and praised them, and now being a minister in the Congress, why is the Singottam Link Canal and other lifts not being completed in Kolhapur constituency? He flagged that the condition of the farmers in the minister’s constituency is very miserable. People of Palamuru should stop the Congress leaders and ministers and warned that history will not forgive Revant Sarar who is not responsible for Telangana.
Why not give national status?
Former MLA Anjaiyayadav questioned why Congress leaders who ruled the state for decades did not give national status to the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy project. He said that during the regime of Congress and TDP, Palamuru was dried up, only after KCR became CM, priority was given to cultivation water and five reservoirs in PRLI were completed. Former MLA Beeram Harshvardhan Reddy protested why Revanth Reddy, who claims to be the son of Palamuru, is not completing the project work.
If the self-respect of the caste workers is damaged, we will not let it go.. There is nothing to bring corporates into Kallu and Neera business: Srinivas Goud
Hyderabad, May 21 (Namaste Telangana): Former Minister V Srinivas Gowd has warned the Congress government that it will not tolerate casteists if they are seen to harm their self-esteem. Kallu and Neera are conspiring to put the business in the hands of corporate companies and this will harm the employment of lakhs of Gaudannas. They demanded that business rights like Kallu and Neera should be given only to the respective caste artisans.
He warned that BRS will fight till justice is done to the victims. He reminded that in the previous BRS government, we stood by all castes economically and socially. He flagged that after Congress came to power, the safety of Geetha workers was completely neglected. In this short period of time, more than 500 Geetha workers fell down from palm trees and lost their lives by accident.
