Hyderabad, July 26 (Namaste Telangana): The low pressure formed over North Odisha-West Bengal coastal areas with adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal has turned into a gale on Sunday, Hyderabad Meteorological Center said. A statement to this effect was released on Sunday. It said that it is likely to intensify into a severe cyclone in the next 24 hours.
It has been revealed that the cyclone will cross the coasts of North Odisha and West Bengal between Paradip-Sagar Islands on Monday. Due to this effect, there will be thunder, lightening and lightning rains at various places across the state till 31st. Meanwhile, Hyderabad Meteorological Center stated that 43% deficit rainfall was recorded in the state in July. It said that 109.7 mm has fallen against the normal average rainfall of 227.4 mm.
