Hyderabad, July 15 (Namaste Telangana): The Supreme Court has recently issued summons to all the respondents in the suit filed by Telangana government on the Polavaram-Banakacharla project. It made it clear to them that they have to appear before the court within 28 days. The Telangana government has filed a suit in the Supreme Court seeking to stop the AP government from going ahead with the preparation of DPR for the Polavaram-Banakacharla project and has included 13 people including AP as defendants.
However, the Supreme Court recently refused to take up the petition as notices have not been issued to the respondents. It has been revealed that after issuing notices to the respondents, an investigation will be conducted. In this context, the Supreme Court Registry has recently issued notices to the respondents. He was ordered to appear before the court within 28 days from the date of receiving the summons. The summons stated that if the defendants do not appear within the stipulated time, the suit will be heard in their absence as per the law and the judgment will be passed.
