SIR Enumeration | Hyderabad, July 9 (Namaste Telangana): The process of special revision of voters list (SIR) is not up to expectations. There is concern that even after 14 days of the process, only 16 percent digitization has been completed. The last date for submission of enumeration documents will end on 24th of this month. And how to reach 100 percent target in 15 days is the million dollar question. The distribution of enumeration documents to voters in rural areas is almost complete. Booth level officials went door to door and handed over these documents. However, there is a delay in the digitization of the documents collected from the voters. With only 16 percent of the work completed in the first two weeks, it has become a challenge for the authorities to complete the remaining 84 percent of the work by the deadline.
Walking in cities, running in villages
In the process of digitization of enumeration forms, there is a difference between rural, urban and urban areas. While the rural districts of the state are at the forefront in the completion of digitization, the process is progressing slowly in the most densely populated GHMC (Hyderabad) and the districts under the state’s leading towns and cities. Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district topped the state with 50.93 percent digitization of farms till 8 pm on Wednesday. Kumram Bhim Asifabad is second with 42.15 percent, Nalgonda is third with 39.61 percent, Khammam is fourth with 36.81 percent and Nizamabad is fifth with 30.39 percent. In Medchal Malajigiri district only 1.76 percent digitization has been completed. In Hyderabad district with 47.36 lakh voters, only 4.46 percent has been completed and in Rangareddy district with 36.99 lakh voters, only 5.49% has been digitized.
Approaching deadline..
As the Election Commission has fixed July 24 as the deadline for submission of enumeration documents, only 15 days are left. Nirmal, Nizamabad, Nagarkurnool, Vanaparthi, Jogulamba Gadwal, Nalgonda and Janagama districts have completed 100 percent distribution of enumeration forms. Hyderabad district with 95.08 percent and Vikarabad with 96.88 percent are lagging behind in distribution. The average distribution of EFs in the state is 98.70 percent complete. Digitization of enumeration documents has reached only 15.71 percent.
