Hyderabad, June 11 (Namaste Telangana): Sarkar will monitor the implementation of key programs such as Panchayati Raj, Rural Development Department’s employment guarantee scheme, Swachh Bharat Mission, development programs of Gram Panchayats, utilization of Central Finance Union funds, livelihood, social inspection etc. PRRD Commissioner D Divyadevarajan on Thursday issued an order appointing high officials of the Commissionerate as special officers to continuously monitor the progress of the schemes and carry out inspections at the field level.
Officers of the level of Deputy Commissioners in the Commissionerate have been assigned the responsibility of 2 districts each to cover all the districts. During the district visit, at least two Panchayats will be visited and field level conditions will be examined. In a statement on Thursday, Minister of the Department Sitakka stated that the main purpose of this special monitoring system is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes are fully available to the rural people and to increase transparency in the use of funds, quality of work and accountability of officials. Irregularities like drawing bills, expenditure of funds and diversion of funds were detected and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
