- The rains cost Rs. 984 crores damage
- The government does not even fund for at least temporary repairs
Hyderabad, September 3 (Namaste Telangana): Officials estimate that the state has suffered a loss of Rs. The roads were completely damaged in 739 areas, causing damage to 200 places and culverts. Roads have been detained in 25 places due to floods. RANDB officials have estimated that it will cost Rs 46 crore for temporary repairs and Rs 984 crore for permanent renewal.
The government has not yet released funds for temporary repairs. There are 37 road divisions in the RANDB, while the recent rains have been damaged by 856 km of roads. Most of these are damaged in the divisions of Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Khammam, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Sattupalli and Suryapet, while Hanumakonda, Miryalaguda, Jagithala, Sirisilla and others have been damaged. It is now decided to undertake temporary repairs and the permanent restoration work is to be taken up.
The government, however, has not released a single penny for temporary repairs. The loss of Rs 2,500 crore in September last year has not yet been undertaken. The government has not paid pending bills due to the funding issue and the contractors have not come forward for some time. In addition, the government is also pushing for half a fund without proper funding. Against this backdrop, the latest rains have caused heavy damage to the state government.
The same drug for all diseases ..
The state government has decided to develop 373 roads of 5,190 km with Rs 6,478 crore. The government has planned to pay 40% of these roads with private partnerships, but the remaining 60% of the funds are to be borne by contractors. There are suspicions about how the government does not fund at least Rs 6,478 crore. The government has not even undertaken at least temporary repair work in the name of Ham Roads. On the one hand, contractors oppose Ham Roads, on the other hand, the government is saying that all the ailments are the same drug, the state of state roads will be completely changed. Against this backdrop, the state of the state should decide on the future of the road.
