Lack of clarity on fee reimbursement
  • Students and parents are worried

Hyderabad, May 26 (Namaste Telangana): The government has still not given any clarification on the fee reimbursement scheme. The process of admissions in various courses is starting for the academic year 2026-27. Due to this, students and parents are worried about the payment of fees. While the student unions are already demanding to take back the Jivo, there is no response from the government. College is releasing tuition and maintenance fees for SC, ST, BC, minority students through fee reimbursement scheme.

The Congress government has recently released new guidelines contrary to the guidelines implemented since 2009. Jio7 was released last month. So far, the government has been paying the funds related to the scheme only to the college owners, but from this academic year, it has decided to pay the funds in the DBT system in the accounts of the eligible students. It was only after that that the college owners imposed a provision to collect the fees. The college managements are opposing the government’s conditions. The court issued an interim order temporarily suspending the implementation of those provisions in JVO-7. It has recently directed the government to file a comprehensive counter on when the funds will be disbursed.
