Jeegiram mill not open for three years
The Minister of Open when coming to power
One step of the year
Public Power – Parvatipuram: Tribal Welfare Minister Sandhyarani is shouting at the jute workers’ hunger. The workers’ families were scattered after the Zegiram Jute mill in the zone had not opened for three years. Workers’ families have migrated for employment as the only industry in the district is closed. Wherever you find work, they are going there. Rajam, Chinnapuram, Nellimarla and Eluru are working in zoot mills. Others are working under the Employment Guarantee Scheme and nourishing families. Others are living in the town of Salur, working in hot shops, running autos. The mill is closed and three years after the possibility of opening, they are migrating to far -flung places for the livelihood. When the TDP government came to power under the leadership of NTR in 1986, a jute mill was formed in Jeegiram in the name of AP Fibers Pvt Ltd. In the most backward tribal constituency, the public sector, which was aimed at providing employment to poor tribes, has gradually gone into the hands of private traders. The number of workers in a one -thousand -working mill gradually dropped to 1200. The lockout was announced three years ago by the mill management, citing the increase in raw materials and importing from Bangladesh and West Bengal. During the last government, the lockout time has passed two years. However, during the YCP government, the tribal welfare minister, Rajannadora, has made some effort to open the mill. Leaders of trade unions and representatives of the proprietors have been in talks. Retired workers have been trying to get backlogs with ownership. In the meantime, with the election of the mill, efforts to open the mill have been stuck. Former MLC Sandhyarani, who contested as the TDP candidate in the last election, promised to open the jute mill, TDP youth Lokesh, who was campaigning for the victory. Sandhyarani, who is currently the Minister of Tribal Welfare, also assured that the mill will be opened soon after coming to power. Most of the workers who were working in the Jeegiram Jute mill were ill for the past three years, but the workers were unilaterally voted in a hurry to win the TDP. Others have retired volunteers for jobs. Others have retired. Ownership for such workers’ families should be supported if he dies due to illness or danger for some time. They have to pay the PF and gratuity dues immediately. Similarly, those who have voluntary retirement will also pay dues. However, the ownership of such workers’ families have not been paid for years and they are in serious financial difficulties. Their families expect their children to study or marry with the amount of backlog of the family owner. Similarly, families of retired workers who have given VRS are also planning. Criticism of the mill management of such workers has been criticized. The trend is being adopted by the man who has to make a decision to run the mill or settle down by the workers. Ownership of other businesses with profit as long as the mill profits is not trying to satisfy the hunger of the workers. About 20 workers have died in the past three years. They did not pay the dues to them. Eidubilli Tirupati and Alti Golden Naidu died a year ago due to employment or illness. Their dues were not paid. The workers of Mudragiri Padma and Venu have retired. Daughter’s wedding was supposed to be done with the money that came after retirement. Daughters and daughters have been married. A year passed, they did not pay dues.
The minister who does not have a single year
State Tribal Welfare Minister Sandhyarani, who has been playing a key role in the TDP government in the last 11 months to open the Zegiram Jute mill, has not filed a single step. There was no context in talks with the leaders of the ownership and trade unions. Workers who voted for the TDP believed that the government would change their lives if the state changed. The workers are hoping that the Rajnadora mill, who served as a minister during the last government, could not open the mill and that the TDP government minister Sandhyarani would bring light to their lives. Recently, when the government came to power, the leaders and women of Jute workers met minister Sandhyarani at her camp office recently. She went to her to ask what efforts were made to open the Jute Mill a year after the formation of the government. However, it was reported that the minister was outraged at the leaders of the trade unions at the time. Leaders of the trade union have expressed outrage over who they were coming without taking a pre -appointment. Workers are unable to swallow the minister’s attitude.
Jute mills opened in side districts
In the joint Vijayanagaram district, the Nellimar’s Jute mill reopened only after the TDP government came to power. Chinna Puram Jute mill in the Bhimili constituency has also recently opened. However, the silence of Sandhya Jeegiram Jute Mill, the minister of two key branches in the TDP government, is being debated.
Ready for anything
Workers say they are ready to work if the Zegiram jute mill is opened. Otherwise, they are expected to pay the PF and gratuity dues and settle down. Jute mills, which were stuck in a severe crisis, were shut down in many places in the joint district. Owners have paid the dues that the owners are unable to run. Jute mills are used for the real estate business. Jute mill owners have moved towards alternatives without causing trouble for the workers.
The mill should be opened
It has been three years since the Jeegiram Jute mill was closed. The workers were struck by hunger. The minister assured the workers that the minister would open the mill when he came to the official. There are no attempts to open the mill for a year. Ownership dues must be paid to the families of deceased and retired workers. Hundreds of workers have already migrated to find employment opportunities. The minister should put pressure on the ownership of the mill and do justice to the workers.
