Prajashakti-Kakinada held a dharna on Monday at the Collectorate under the auspices of SFI, demanding the release of pending fee reimbursement arrears and payment of examination fees for all students. SFI district secretary M. Gangasuribabu and city president Vasudev spoke on this occasion. He criticized that before the state government came to power, the students were assured that the fee reimbursement would be done in the college account without any trouble, but today the students are being made to suffer even in a typhoon. He demanded release of pending dues across the state. He said that the engineering colleges in Kakinada district are acting unfairly. The government has said that they will pay the fee reimbursement arrears to the college, and the students should not stop their examination fees and certificates without bothering anyone. In the past, petitions were given to the District Collector, Joint Collector and DRO to solve this problem already in the district, but they did not pay attention. Gentu has already announced that Monday is the last date to pay the examination fee for second year engineering students. SFI leaders Jayaram, Gaminivelu, Vasudev, Karishma, Manasa, Madhuri, Jhansi, Shashipriya, Shirisha, Prasad, Shashank, Saket, Durga Prasad and Vivek participated in this program.
