Hyderabad, May 2 (Namaste Telangana): In a statement on Saturday, BRSV state president Gellu Srinivasyadav accused the Revanth Reddy government of bringing JV-7 only for the benefit of private universities. It is said that the government has taken this decision with the aim of closing the colleges which are run with the recognition (affiliation) of the universities. He accused the Revanth Sarkar of conspiring to take higher education away from the SC, ST, BC and minority communities as well as the disabled. With the government’s attitude, the lower classes will stay away from higher education and the upper classes will pursue higher education.
It is stated that the students are expressing concern about the lack of clarity as to what percentage of fees will be paid in the DBT method through Geo 7. He said that under this DBT policy, there will be no situation in which the college owners will follow the government’s orders not to collect fees from the students. He said that the admissions will be finalized only for those students who have paid the fees. Concern was expressed that poor students would miss out on higher education. They demanded the implementation of the 5 lakh education insurance card scheme put in the Congress manifesto.
