Himayatnagar, June 13: State President of Midday Meal Scheme Workers’ Union P Premapavani and State General Secretary Jampala Ravinder have demanded that the workers working in midday meal scheme across the state should be recognized as government employees. Speaking at the union executive meeting held at SN Reddy Bhavan in Himayatnagar on Saturday, they demanded to cancel the centralized kitchen policy.
They demanded immediate release of old arrears of Rs.23 crore related to breakfast bills. They demanded that the government should supply essential items, goods, gas and chicken eggs for mid-day meal and increase the slab rates to Rs.25. Union State Honorary President Kamala Reddy, leaders Chakrapani, Mumtaz, Vasantha, Kavitha, Mahesh and others participated in the meeting.
