More than 1.96 lakh electric vehicles have been registered across the state, according to the Transport Ministry by the end of fiscal year (March 31). By the end of April, the number was exceeding 2 lakh, the transport ministry said. Most of the total electric vehicles (over 80 percent) have bikes and are replaced by cars. These are good for the environment along with their owners.
