ACB Action Plan | Bank accounts.. Give PAN numbers.. ACB notices to excise department

ACB Action Plan | Hyderabad, July 12 (Namaste Telangana): Is an action plan being prepared for a major shake-up in the Excise Department? Is ACB planning for 2012-style attacks in that department? Has it been revealed in the Nizamabad raid that the subordinates are adjusting to the high-ranking officials in the monthly routine and illegal collections as ‘collection agents’? The next step is to give the green signal to the Chief Minister.. Will ACB launch attacks? That means if you see the aggression of ACB in the state, the answer is ‘yes’.

It is known that the case of lightning raids conducted by the ACB officials on the houses and offices of Nizamabad District Prohibition and Excise Department Superintendent Kommuri Mallareddy has created a lot of commotion across the state. However, it has been learned that these raids did not end with the detection of illegal activities by just one official, ACB has identified a huge network of bribes behind it. ACB prepared a proforma for that and sent a letter to Nizamabad District Excise Department seeking details.

Subordinates are ‘collection agents’

It is learned that ACB has confirmed that subordinates are ‘collection agents’ and are cooperating with DC and AC in the monthly routine and illegal collection. Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners are told that the ACB has found that their subordinate inspectors are systematically adjusting bribes. It is reliably known that ACB has found that the same system is continuing in every district of Telangana. According to the information, RACB has found out that the business of collection of liquor shops, belt shops and brick shops is being done openly. How much is collected from which shop in a month? What level of officer was besieged? How close is the Excise CI? How much E is given to SI and Constables? ACB found that a separate record is being maintained for other details.

ACB has confirmed that the Paddula diary is being maintained in every excise police station across the state. ACB has found that some officers have taken postings as in-charges of two or three key posts due to excess income. Who took those postings? It is known that ACB has already completed the details of how many properties have been purchased in ten years. It is said that the details were collected mainly targeting four key officials. Where are the officers who were recently transferred as DCs and ACs currently working? Where did you work in the past? Other details are also collected.

Hunting of bank accounts and PAN numbers

According to the latest official notice issued as part of the Mallareddy case investigation, the ACB is collecting financial horoscopes of excise inspectors under Nizamabad district. In this notice issued under Section 94/179 of the ‘Indian Citizen Protection Act-2023’, not only the details of the officers, but also the details of their close relatives and family members, their PAN numbers, bank accounts and branch details have been ordered to be submitted urgently. It is said that the ACB has kept a close watch on the movements of the old officials who worked in Nizamabad district as well as Warangal, Nalgonda and Rangareddy districts and the transfer of their assets.

A repeat of the sensation of 2012?

The former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy targeted the Excise Department to kill the ministers who were supposed to be his replacements. ACB was resorted to and attacks were carried out. Almost 75% of these raids involved corruption cases against excise officials. Botsa Satyanarayana, Mopidevi Venkataramanathopa and some other leaders who were the kingpin at that time became silent. Recently, it has been reliably learned that the field has been prepared for similar attacks. Looking at the ACB notices and account inspections, it is clear that the ACB has fully identified the old syndicate-style sources in the Excise Department.
