Cases of molestation were registered against Sivakumar Reddy on May 7, 2022 at Panjagutta Police Station and at Kubban Police Station, Bangalore on June 28, 2023. The woman protested at the Panjagutta police station demanding his arrest. Sivakumar Reddy’s efforts for anticipatory bail failed. The Congress party has appointed him as the election counting agent for the 2023 assembly elections. He gave a ticket to his niece. In this background, Narayanapet MLA Parnikar Reddy and Sivakumar Reddy got videos of sitting on the same platform and went to Meenakshi Natarajan to take action against him. It is reported that Sivakumar Reddy has already been suspended from the party. Not satisfied with this answer, the woman approached the court and included Meenakshi as a respondent in her petition.
