Two people died in AP and one in Telangana due to cyclone disaster. Power supply was interrupted in many places. A shepherd died due to lightning in Tadur mandal of Nagarkurnool district. Heavy rain in Acchampet has left the grain wet.
In Nakkapalli and Payakaraupeta mandals of Anakapalli district of AP, trees and electricity poles fell due to wind and rain for about half an hour. Houses were damaged in the villages of Ramanayyapet, Mukundarajupeta, Dosalapadu, Cheedika, G. Jagannathapuram, Godicharla, Donkada and Chinadodigallu. Two laborers who were collecting betel leaves lost their lives when coconut trees fell in Sathyavaram village. In Mukundarajupeta, two women were injured when house tiles fell on them.
Due to the impact of the winds, there was heavy property damage. Mango and banana crops were severely damaged. In Tuni area of Kakinada district, heavy gusts of wind caused trees to fall on the car on the way to Durvaramma mother temple. No one was harmed in this incident.
