Mahbubnagar, July 26 (Namaste Telangana representative): Full of water on the Karnataka side.. Tear-inducing conditions on the Telangana side.. While green crop fields are visible on the Krishna and Bhima river basins of Karnataka.. Barren fields are seen at every step on the Telangana side. On Sunday, a BRS delegation from the joint Mahbubnagar district inspected the barrages being constructed illegally on the Krishna and Bhima rivers. The party leaders gathered together with the farmers of the district under the name BRS ‘Chalo Karnataka’. Led by former ministers V Srinivas Goud and Lakshmareddy, the party leaders on a large scale inspected the illegal projects being constructed in Karnataka along with the farmers.

In the morning, they left for Karnataka from the V Srinivasgoud camp office in Mahbubnagar district headquarters. The group includes former MLAs Chittem Rammohan Reddy, Ala Venkateswar Reddy, Rajender Reddy, Anjaiah Yadav, MLC Naveen Kumar Reddy and other party leaders. First, the BRS team inspected the bridge cum barrage constructed on the Bhima river at Gudur in Yadgir district of Karnataka. After that Google looked at the area where Karnataka not only built another major barrage on the Krishna river but also set up a hydroelectric power station next to it.

Bhima Rivers

Run to Galagala Godari / Andhra!

(25.7.26 6 PM to 26.7.26 6 PM)

10.32 TMCs of water flowed to AP in last 24 hours

The water wasted in this season is 116.75 TMCs

The current water flow at Medigadda is 1,08,500 cusecs

Karnataka is full.. Telangana is dry

The BRS delegation explained to the media that the Karnataka water robbery was blindfolded. The representatives of the team who inspected the illegally constructed Guduru Bridge over the Bhima River were furious. This was dismissed as unfair. If full water is seen on the Karnataka side, Telangana side is showing a dry river or a dry river. They expressed strong objections to fixing the hydraulic gates simultaneously so that no drop of water goes down. After that BRS leaders criticized the negligence of the Telangana state government by raising slogans against the barrage. Karnataka’s illegal projects should be stopped. The agreements of the three CMs should be revealed. Telangana is dry. Karnataka is full.

Karnataka is a huge water grab at Google

The BRS delegation exposed the huge water exploitation attempt of Karnataka to the media by diverting the water coming from the upper reaches of the Krishna River with the huge Kam Barrage built at Googal in Yadgir district. If the flood water is coming down from Almaty on a large scale, here more than three TMC of water has been stopped. He said that heavy hydraulic gates were fastened and a huge hydroelectric power plant was also constructed next to it. It is alleged that this is one of the illegal projects constructed by Karnataka on the Krishna River. BRS leaders were furious that barrages have been constructed at about five places where they enter Telangana from Narayanapur.

Apart from this, he criticized that around 10 to 15 lifts are being installed and water is being used illegally. As a result, there has been a situation where water is not coming from the Krishna River towards Telangana. He said that the water has been stopped everywhere so that the river does not flow down unless there is a heavy flood. Recently, if two more barrages are proposed on the borders of Karnataka and Telangana, CM Revanth shamelessly questioned how reasonable it is to examine them through an aerial view. Krishna, writing the death warrant for Palamuru Magani, demanded the closure of all illegal projects built on Bhima rivers. They expressed their concern that if water does not come even in rainy season then what will be the situation in dry season.

Big sketch for Almaty elevation

BRS leaders revealed that the Karnataka government is taking steps to raise the height of the Almatti Reservoir project on the Krishna River by 300 meters more than the current level, and to store about 300 TMC of water. It is alleged that the works have also started to this extent and land acquisition is being done instead of rumours. If this happens, they expressed concern that there will be no water supply to Palamuru district through rivers. He warned that Jurala, Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar built on the Krishna river would dry up and only buildings would remain.

Srinivas Goud

Our Palamuru is a struggle for survival: V Srinivas Goud

Former Minister Srinivas Gowd said that they are not playing politics over the illegal projects being done by AP and Karnataka and are fighting for the survival of Palamuru joint district. He said that after seeing the Palamuru drought, Anade had designed the Upper Krishna project, if it had been built, Mahabubnagar district would have become greener someday through gravity. He said that the responsibility of constructing new projects in the state as soon as possible is on the Congress government to stop the illegal projects there, and they will put pressure on the government for that. Karnataka state is accused of illegally constructing projects on Krishna and Bhima rivers.

He reminded that after the formation of Telangana state, under the BRS government, the pending projects were completed and 10 lakh acres were irrigated. He said that water can be given to another 10,12 lakh acres and that is why the Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Upliftment Scheme has been initiated. He protested why the Congress government did not complete this project which was 90 percent complete. Regenerator water used to come in Bhima river, but due to the illegal projects constructed in Karnataka, the situation has resulted in water not coming. He warned that the Telangana government should respond immediately and stop the illegal constructions being carried out by Karnataka and AP, otherwise public movement is inevitable.

Let’s fight together: Lakshmareddy

Former Minister Dr. Lakshmareddy has called upon the leaders and farmers of Palamuru joint district to get ready for a united struggle across parties against the water exploitation of Karnataka and AP. He said that Telangana movement continued against water robbery. It was revealed that Palamuru district was improved during BRS regime. They expressed concern that due to the negligence of the Congress government, the districts will not get cultivation and drinking water. They expressed concern that in Karnataka, dams are being erected on Krishna and Bhima rivers and water is being diverted illegally, resulting in a situation where water does not flow downstream. He said that due to the installation of hydraulic gates on the Bhima river, there is no water even during the rainy season, and the Central Water Board has been asked to take action on this.

They demanded that both the states have Congress governments and they should talk and solve the water problem. He said that it is the CM’s responsibility to negotiate with Karnataka and AP and ensure that there is no injustice to the district. They expressed concern that Palamuru district will become a desert if water stops anywhere. He said that they are already filling water in the reservoirs and BRS government has built the reservoirs to save Telangana in drought conditions. At present, it is alleged that the government leaders are not aware that Palamuru will be damaged.

Unexpected response to ‘Chalo Karnataka’

The ‘Chalo Karnataka’ call given by BRS to block the illegal construction of bridge and barrages by the Karnataka government on Krishna and Bhima rivers shook the joint Palamuru district. Farmers, party leaders and workers gathered in large numbers. Former MLAs led by former ministers Srinivas Goud and Lakshmareddy left from Mahabubnagar district center with a huge convoy. Leaders from all over came and joined the program, cheering on the BRS leaders at every step. When it reached Maqtal, it became a huge convoy.

It is noteworthy to see and discuss the march of BRS leaders that went through many villages in Karnataka. Farmers and BRS leaders were shocked to see the barrages built on Krishna and Bhima rivers. They saw how much injustice the Congress government was doing to Palamuru. They expressed the opinion that Palamuru will turn into a desert if they do not get their fair share of the waters of the Krishna and Bhima rivers in the future. BRS leaders Valyanayak, Imtiaz Isaac, Allipuram Venkateshwar Reddy, Srinivasgupta, Mahipal Reddy, Narasimha Goud and others participated in the program.
