Hyderabad, Aug 23 (Namaste Telangana): Farmers are lining up for urea at primary agricultural cooperatives (societies). In front of any society, there are queues and peasant scenes. But there is no urea stock needed for farmers. If the scene is cut… there is no queue at private fertilizer shops. There are no bars that have been barged down. But, there is no need for urea, but not to give farmers. They say they have no stock. The stock inside is being moved to the black market. Urea reserves are high at private fertilizer dealers compared to the state’s subsidiaries that are available to farmers in the state. Urea Golmaal is happening.

High reserves

According to Markfed sources, there are high urea reserves in private dealers compared to societies across the state. On the 23rd of this month, there were 18,576 tonnes at private dealers and only 12,636 tonnes of urea at the societies. On the 20th of this month, there were 26,525 tonnes at private dealers and 12,579 tonnes at societies. On the 18th of this month, there were 29,549 tonnes of private dealers and 15,622 tonnes of urea at societies. It is noteworthy that the private dealers are equally compared to the stock in Bufferstock and goddesses at Markfed. In fact, Markfed has 60% allocation and 40% for private dealers. But it is noteworthy that Markfed and Societies have fewer reserves at private dealers with low allocations. Farmers are fighting at the high allocation societies, the lack of sales at private dealers is suspected.

Why not allocate 100% to Markfed?

The government allocates 60% to MarkFed and 40% to private dealers in the fertilizer. The company is moving the fertilizer to Markfed to the Societies with the approval of the Agriculture Department.
