Under the Congress rule, not only the government lands but also the flooded lands of the projects are going unprotected. A close relative of a Congress leader and a chief minister has turned a blind eye to the flooded lands of the Singuru project that will satisfy the thirst of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

- The leader who wiped out FTL and ushered in Kabja
- Flattening and elevation of land with heavy machines
- Already two kuntas have been destroyed and the road has been constructed
- Unexpected Irrigation and Revenue Mechanism
Congress leaders are proving that if the power is there, they can occupy not only the vacant sites and government lands but also the projects. At the same time, a great minister, Bammardi, has taken possession of the flooded land of the Singuru project! While the officials are emptying the water from the project for the repair of Singuru in Sangareddy district, the flooded lands are gradually floating. By supporting it and looking after it, a minister’s relative swooped down on those lands like a vulture. He made a sketch to occupy the flooded lands next to his farmhouse.
If the lands are occupied directly, there will be opposition from the farmers and people who gave them to the government, Minister Bammardi said. He is flattening 20 acres to build a Shiva temple. He planned to occupy another 200 acres next to it. If water is left in the dam again, it will sink, right? It can be suspected. That is why he is building roads by increasing the height so that they do not sink. He is setting up barriers. He has already destroyed two dams, removed culverts and built embankments to prevent his farmhouse from submerging. At the same time, he is plotting to change Singuru Dam FTL. Locals are alleging that despite all this happening, neither the revenue system nor the irrigation authorities are paying attention.
Sangareddy, June 1 (Namaste Telangana): Under the Congress regime, not only the government lands but also the flooded lands of the projects are going unprotected. A close relative of a Congress leader and a chief minister has turned a blind eye to the flooded lands of the Singuru project that will satisfy the thirst of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Singuru Project is located in Pulkal Mandal of Sangareddy District. Hundreds of acres of patta and assigned lands belonging to farmers in Pulkal and Vatpalli mandals were submerged during the construction of the project. They were compensated by the government. As a result, the farmers do not have any rights on those lands. Recently, the walls of the Singuru project were breached and the water is being drained for repairs. As the waters of the Manjira are completely released downstream, the previously submerged lands are floating up. In this way, the flooded lands of villages of Vatpalli mandal, Qadirabad, Saipet, Pulkal mandal and Manthur etc.
An eye on the lands next to the farmhouse
A close relative of a minister has a farmhouse on 70 acres in the suburbs of Mantur, Qadirabad. There are already allegations that Singuru has encroached on the assigned lands of the farmers next to it and increased the area to more than a hundred acres. With the recent evacuation of the project, the flooded lands in survey numbers 420, 422, 422/2, 444 in the suburbs of Saipet village, Qadirabad, next to the farmhouse of the minister’s relative, have surfaced. A relative of a state minister had his eye on these lands. Locals allege that he has planned to increase the area of the farmhouse and prevent his land from being submerged even if there is a flood in Singuru project in the future.
Start possession in the name of God
The relative of the minister felt that if the flooded lands are occupied openly, there will be opposition from the farmers and people. He put God in the way of his plan. He convinced the villagers of Qadirabad and Saipet that he would build a Shiva temple in the middle of flooded lands and develop tourism. According to government regulations, no construction should be carried out in flooded lands. No one is allowed to change the Project Full Tank Level (FTL) finalized by the Irrigation Officers Singuru Project Officers. Under the Walta Act, felling of trees and taking up construction on floodplains is illegal.
But all these rules are not working in front of minister’s relative. About 20 acres of flooded land was leveled with big machinery for the construction of the temple without taking any permission from the government. Even if the Singuru project is completely filled, the work of artificially constructing a dam has been undertaken to prevent the area from submerging. For this, they are excavating large quantities of soil and gravel from the flooded lands against the rules. Amber flags were planted in the paved area to say that the construction of the temple is underway. Using his authority, he is establishing a power line from Qadirabad to the place where the Shiva temple is to be built. Transco crews have already installed the electric poles.
Another 200 acres are flat
Locals are alleging that around 200 acres of land is being flattened along with the area where construction has been undertaken for the temple. It is said that after the construction of the temple, a sketch was made to occupy this 200 acres of land. For this, it is reported that they are ready to erase Singuru project FTL. There is a campaign going on that he is trying to occupy those lands by using his authority and putting patta numbers on them. The value of these lands is estimated to be more than Rs.400 crores.
The destruction of lameness and sneezes
There are two ponds in survey no. 444, 444/1, 444/2, survey no. 442, 442/1 of the flooded lands under Qadirabad village. Same Korivikunta, Nallakunta. Their area is up to 18 acres. Before the construction of Singuru project, the farmers of Qadirabad village used to farm under these two kuntas. Korivikunta and Nallakunta also floated due to the evacuation of the project recently. A relative of the minister destroyed these two ponds located in flooded lands. He removed the stones and moved them to his farmhouse. He is bringing soil from the flooded areas and using those stones to build an embankment to protect the farmhouse. Moreover, he is making a road to his farmhouse with mud and stones from the flooded lands. According to the rules, no structures in the flooded lands should be removed. Strict action will be taken if private individuals remove the structures of ponds and ponds used for irrigation especially before the construction of the project. However, none of this is working before the power of the minister’s relative. Locals are alleging that the revenue and irrigation authorities are not paying attention to the constructions and encroachment of flooded lands against the rules.
We will look into it soon
We have not received any complaints that they are trying to encroach on Singuru flood lands in Qadirabad village of Vatpalli mandal. There is no information about the construction work of the temple. Soon we will inspect the flooded lands in Qadirabad and Saipet village along with the irrigation officials. Action will be taken if anyone encroaches on the flooded lands or constructs against the rules.

A thorough investigation should be conducted and strict action should be taken: Kranti Kiran
The minister’s relative is encroaching on the flooded lands of Singuru project in the suburbs of Manthur village of Pulkal mandal along with villages of Khadirabad and Saipet of Vatpalli mandal. They made a sketch to capture 200 acres of flooded land by convincing the villagers and farmers that the temple was being built. The Minister’s relative removed the FTL of the Singuru project and removed the two ponds in the flooded areas. The project is in jeopardy with illegal constructions. Apart from this, there is a possibility of contamination of Manjira waters. The Revenue and Irrigation authorities should investigate immediately and take strict action to protect the flooded lands.
Singur flood lands in occupation; Former MLA Kranti Kiran has complained to the collector about huge irregularities in FTL

Former MLA Chanti Kranthikiran brought to the attention of collector Prateekjain about the irregularities in Singur flood lands. They met the collector at the collectorate on Monday and lodged a complaint. In the complaint, it is stated that destruction of ponds and illegal constructions are taking place in the flooded areas of the project within the villages of Qadirabad and Saipet. Anil Reddy, the brother-in-law of minister Damodara Rajanarsimha, and his followers accused of encroaching hundreds of acres of government and flooded land in the background of draining water for the project repairs. It is stated that Korivikunta and Nallakunta ponds in Qadirabad village were completely destroyed with heavy machinery, embankments and dams were removed and no traces of the ponds were left. The former MLA alleged that nearly two acres of land under FTL is being occupied, filled with soil and leveled for private resorts and boating. It is claimed that they are encroaching on the lands of poor farmers and preventing them from going to their fields. It has been suggested that electricity lines have also been installed within the scope of the project without permission. A joint survey was conducted with Revue and Irrigation Departments on this matter and asked to confirm FTL limits. They appealed to the Collector to stop the encroachments and take action against those responsible.
