Medak, May 27 (Namaste Telangana): Gale force winds created havoc in Medak district. Due to heavy rain with strong winds since Tuesday night, the rice grains in the buying centers were soaked by the rain. Trees and electricity poles fell due to strong winds. In Medak district, including Medak, Haveli Ghanapur, Papannapet, Kulcharam, Kaudipalli, Chilipiched, Chinna Sankarampet, Ramayampet, Chegunta and many other mandals, the grain in the fields was completely wet.
Farmers are shedding tears as the bags of grain are getting wet in the rice grain purchase centers set up by the government. Farmers are crying that if the government had bought grain on time, they would not have suffered any loss. In some places there were piles of paddy and in other places rice grain was filled in sacks. The bags of grain were stopped at the purchase centers as the lorries did not arrive on time. Farmers are shedding tears as they have suffered heavy losses due to untimely rains, which have soaked their paddy.
