Schools Closed | Uri Badiki Uri!.. Primary and Upper Primary schools are closed

Schools Closed | Hyderabad, June 17 (Namaste Telangana): Learning.. maturing.. preparing for future life.. this is the ultimate essence of education. Badi is not just a school; A symbol of social consciousness. A school has the same value as a temple and a library. Government schools of such importance will be merged under the Congress government. Government schools that provide free education to girls will be closed. Recently Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that 27 thousand government schools will be reduced to 4 thousand. That means 23 thousand schools will be closed. This is wronged by teachers unions and academics. They are demanding to withdraw the decision of shrinking schools.

School for three or four cities..

At present there are 18,317 primary, 3,141 primary and 4,705 high schools in the state. It appears that the government is planning to close primary and higher secondary schools and merge them into 4,705 higher secondary schools. If there are about 13 thousand village panchayats and 27 thousand schools are reduced to four thousand, there will be three or four schools per village. Sarkar has already started the closure of Sarkar schools in the state. 1,441 zero enrollment schools closed this academic year. 1,388 Gurukuls will be reduced to 100. Young India gave it a new name, Gurukula. Now the government has fallen on the schools. Each school has only 350 students. In other words, there are allegations that there is a collusion conspiracy to run a school for 350 students.

Buses?

We will reduce the 27 thousand schools in the state to 4 thousand.. We will pick up the students from their homes by putting buses.. We will drop them at their homes after the school is over.. These are the words of the government. If there are 350 students in each school, 7 buses are needed for each school to transport them. That means 32,935 buses are required. That means we need three times more buses than our RTC, there are not even 10,000 buses under the ownership of RTC with decades of history.

Lack of facilities in Sula

There are 4,703 high schools in the state. There are claims that the rest of the schools will be merged with them. There are many problems in existing high schools. 6 schools have only one classroom, 36 schools have two classrooms, 90 schools have three classrooms and 223 schools have four classrooms. There are 2,200 schools running with five classrooms, and only 2,120 schools with more than five classrooms. Schools running with less than five rooms have 15 classes from Nursery to 12th. It will become a challenge to provide 15 classrooms in five-room schools in 75 years.

Against the policies of the Congress

In continuation of Rajiv Gandhi and PV policies, the Congress government also made education a right. The Right to Education Act-2009 was brought in during the UPA regime. The Act provided free and compulsory education to girls between the ages of 6-14 years. If there is no school in the neighborhood, a school should be established within three years of the law coming into force. A primary school within a kilometer, a primary school within three kilometers, a secondary school within five kilometers and a higher secondary school within 7 kilometers should be established for the habitations. The Congress government is acting completely contrary to such RTE act.

Doubts.. Questions..

In school education there are district, mandal parishad and government schools. There are model schools in mandal centres. All these are working under different owners. Integrating all of these poses a number of problems. Zilla Parishad and Government managements are separate. It is not possible to merge one into the other. In the end, the service rules are caught in the maelstrom.

  • In the consolidation of schools, Bhaganga from Nursery to Intermediate will be on the same campus. Vacations are given to the entire campus during the Intermediate Annual Examinations.
  • In any election, these schools should be used under the polling booth. Two days holiday should be given for every election.
  • The services of teachers have to be used for surveys, census collection, voter list and other government programs. In order to survey three or four villages within the scope of a school, if all the teachers go to work, the school will have to be locked.
  • Can nursery, LKG, UGC students travel kilometers per day?
  • There are 460 government junior colleges in the state. Of these, only 1.50 lakhs were registered. Inter will also have to be introduced in more than 4 thousand schools tomorrow. Then the enrollment will be only for 32 in each of them. The question is how to run colleges with 32 students

Rajiv’s ambitions are broken.

There are arguments that the Congress government in the state is hampering the ambitions of Rajiv Gandhi with the shrinking of government schools. Moreover, experts in the field of education claim that the policies of PV Narsimha Rao, the father of reforms, are being undermined. The new National Education Policy of 1986 came during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure as Prime Minister to eliminate inequalities in education and provide equal educational opportunities.

This educational system focuses on educating SCs, STs and women. Then in 1994, when PV Narasimha Rao was the Prime Minister, the District Primary Education Program (DPEP) came into force. Primary schools were established as part of this program. New schools were established. The current Congress government is going to reduce the schools established by the then Congress government.

The All India Democratic Students Union has demanded immediate withdrawal of the proposal to limit the number of 27,000 government schools in the state to 4,000. To this end, they organized a dharna with the students in front of the office of the director of school education in Saifabad on Wednesday. AIDSO State Secretary A Satyanarayana said that free and quality education is a constitutional right for everyone and lamented that the closure of schools where millions of poor students are studying is weakening the education system.
