RTC Strike | Sarkar has come down to the struggle of RTC workers!.. The strike is over

RTC Strike | Hyderabad, April 24 (Namaste Telangana): After two and a half years, the Congress government gave its nod to the RTC merger process, which was started and completed by Telangana’s first CM KCR. The government, which came in the way with the workers’ strike, has only expressed its willingness to form a committee for the merger process. The JAC leaders fought till the end and agreed to the government’s proposals as they insisted that they will form a committee to re-declare the appointed day announced by KCR. The government, which has cheated all these years by putting the issue of revival of unions in the manifesto, has adopted the same non-exemption trend in the discussions. With trade union leaders insisting that a decision should be taken by now on the revival of the unions, the RTC said that a decision would be taken only after talking to the management.

However, as the labor leaders insisted on Sasemira, the decision was taken and green signal was given. On the one hand, if the RTC is merged with the government, it is known that the government officials have discussed how the recognized labor unions will be. On this, the labor leaders insisted that they would be the same as the employers’ and teachers’ unions.. Then it was learned that a positive decision was announced. Meanwhile, the RTC workers insisted on PRC as well. The government expressed its willingness to give 11 percent PRC instead of what they demanded.

Thatsaram after Shankar Goud’s last rites

The workers have expressed their anger that the government has made a serious compromise in the discussions held after the funeral of Narsampet RTC driver Shankar Goud. Discussions started at exactly 11 am on Friday morning and continued till 11.30 pm. The Committee of Ministers had to step in as there was no progress in the deliberations of the Committee of Senior Officials till lunch break in the afternoon. The government breathed a sigh of relief after Shankar Goud’s funeral was over at night.

After that, she did that in the discussions. On the one hand, the leaders of the labor unions were sitting in the discussions.. Ministers and officials were doing their work. Although some progress was seen in the discussions with the Committee of Ministers, Bhatti Vikramarka was required to take full decision-making power on financial matters. He left them in the middle and attended other meetings. After they were completed, they again participated in discussions with the workers. At 11.30 pm, it was officially announced that the talks were over.

Congress coloring for KCR’s merger

The decades-old dream of RTC workers is the merger of RTC employees in Govt. This process was completed by the CM KCR in 2023 itself. The process was taken up in the months of May and June 2023. The bill was passed in the assembly meetings held in August and sent to the governor. When the then Governor Tamilisai objected to it, he again sent government officials and RTC workers to the Lok Bhavan and played a vital role in getting the gazette released. After getting the approval from the Governor, a committee was formed with the higher officials. Appointed day was also announced on September 30 of the same year. With the coming of the Election Code, that process was completely stopped.

Along with the merger process, union renewal and PRC have been included in the Congress election manifesto to benefit from this issue. Even if the workers believed in it and voted for the Congress party, it took almost two and a half years to implement those promises after coming to power. If a worker is burnt but the Congress government did not come forward to announce that decision. If KCR completes the process of RTC merger, now the Congress government has asked for some time to form a committee on it. In the end, Congress gave coloring to the merger completed by KCR.

Buses start from midnight

As the strike in RTC ended, the first duty buses hit the roads from midnight on Friday. Thousands of RTC workers voluntarily participated in the strike for three days. Participated in all the protest activities organized by the Labor JAC within the limits of their depots. They tried to open the eyes of the government by expressing their concern and anguish in various forms. As the strike negotiations have come to an end, everyone will report to duty as usual. The workers are shedding tears saying that the loss of life of worker Shankar Goud is painful in this struggle. They have issued warnings that if the government delays the merger process by taking time with the committees, they will have to face their wrath.
