It seems that the accident took place when a family was returning from a wedding ceremony. Those who died in the car were identified as Gausia (30), Amir (18 months) and Ujefa (8). Another woman was also seriously injured in the accident. Her condition is said to be critical. As soon as the police received information about the accident, they reached the spot and started rescue operations. The dead bodies were shifted to the mortuary of the government hospital.
Locals say that the accident happened due to the speeding of the sports bike. It is stated that the bike hit the car at a speed of more than 100 kmph. Meanwhile, the locals are expressing their anger that the Palamuru bypass road has become an obstacle for bike racing at night. They complained that no matter how many times they complained to the police, they did not pay attention. “Every night, youths are racing on the bypass with sports bikes. They are playing with their lives making ear-splitting noises. But the police are acting like they are not watching,” the locals said. People are still demanding that the police take strict action. Special patrols, speed guns and surveillance cameras are set up at night to completely stop bike racing. Otherwise, they are worried that more innocent families will become victims on the roads.
