Hyderabad, July 23 (Namaste Telangana): The AP government has revealed that the Handriniva, Galeru-Nagari Sujala Sravanti and Telugu Ganga projects cannot be carried out with Penna basin water, hence they are diverting Krishna waters. Brijesh Kumar argued before the tribunal. As per the Section 3 guidelines issued by the Centre, the inquiry conducted by this tribunal in Delhi regarding the redistribution of Krishna water between the two states continued on Thursday. AP has proposed to distribute 76% to itself and 24% to Telangana on the basis of carry over storage water consumption in Srisailam and Nagarjunasagar reservoirs.
Telangana also said that water which cannot be used by RDS is being used by the sneezes. RDS revealed that KWDT-2 has been sanctioned for Right Canal, which will irrigate areas not covered under Tungabhadra Right Bank Low Level Canal. It stated that RDS is being monitored by Krishna board, committees have also been set up and the minutes of the 16th board meeting have been recorded. It said that the expert committee did not say that the height of the RDS dam should be increased, but only suggested to look into the matter. These arguments will continue on Friday.
