Prajashakti – Vizianagaram representative / Pachipenta : The authorities have evacuated Padmapuram tribal ashram school of Pachipenta mandal in the district. There the students were temporarily moved to Zilla Parishad High School in Pachipenta mandal center. It is to be noted that a special article was published in Prajashakti on Monday with the title ‘Welfare Amidst Ruins’. Responding to this, ITDA in-charge PO C. Yeswanthkumar Reddy issued orders to vacate the dormitory. With this, under the leadership of local Tehsildar D. Ravi, MPDO BVJ Patro and MEO P. Satish, officials from various departments of the mandal visited the Padmapuram Tribal Ashram School. All the buildings are in dilapidated condition. On the other hand, the storm is raging. In this background, keeping in mind the safety of the students, it was decided to first shift them to Badnayakavalasa Tribal Ashram School in the same mandal. On the other hand, as the warnings of heavy rains and strong winds were in force, the decision was changed to move the school to the nearby Pachipenta Zilla Parishad School. All the students’ books, boxes, etc. were moved to ZP school from the authorities. Lights and fans have been installed in some rooms so that they can stay overnight. Officials say that since there is no local kitchen, the food will be cooked in the Padmapuram hostel and brought to ZP’s school. Even after the storm, the parents are worried that their children should be shifted to a safe building, and if they are taken back to the old building in Padmapuram, they will have to face scary conditions.
