Kathmandu: A terrible road accident happened in Nepal. A jeep carrying 18 passengers lost control and fell into a 700-feet ravine in Nepal’s Karnali province. Eight people died in this accident. Police revealed on Saturday that 10 people were injured. According to the details of the police regarding this incident, this incident took place on Friday night. It happened in Jharmare area of Bafikot in Rukuzum West district, about 500 km west of Kathmandu. The accident took place when the jeep was going from Khalanga in Musikot towards Sayalikhadi area of Atbiskot municipality. The police said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the jeep lost control and fell into the valley due to the driver’s speeding. Seven passengers died on the spot in this accident. One person succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at a local hospital. All the dead were between the ages of 15-30. Ten people who were injured in the incident are undergoing treatment at the Rukums District Hospital in Salle, police said.
