Moscow: The Air Force repulsed the series of attacks carried out by Ukraine targeting the Russian capital Moscow. Russian officials announced on Monday that the air force had been intercepting the drones since overnight, forcing the closure of two of the city’s four airports. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that the attacks started at 10:00 PM local time on Sunday and that the Russian Defense Forces shot down 28 drones within five hours. As a precaution, the main Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports were closed from 10.40am, according to Russia’s air surveillance agency Rosaviatsia. However, the details of property damage are yet to be known.
