Approval of 15th Five Year Plan in plenary meeting
Beijing: The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China ended on the 23rd of this month. It reviewed the 14th Five Year Plan and approved the 15th Five Year Plan (2026-2030). 168 central committee members and 147 alternate representatives attended these plenary sessions. Along with them, the members of the Central Control Commission and the heads of prominent departments were present as invitees. The Politburo was presided over by Party General Secretary Xi Jinping. It thoroughly reviewed the functioning of the Politburo. In the planning document released by the CPC, it reiterated that the Party should be further strengthened to build socialism with Chinese characteristics and develop a modern people’s China under collective leadership. After reviewing the performance of the party, these plenary sessions approved the recommendations for the Five Year Plan. President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote address in these meetings. Explained the draft recommendations. The plenary praised Xi Jinping’s leadership and the unity of the Party Central Committee.
Major objectives of 15th five year plan..

By 2035, China aims to be the top country in terms of GDP per capita. On the other hand, China’s leadership strongly wants to make the manufacturing sector the backbone of the country’s economy, which is related to economic and systemic priorities. It seeks to promote inclusive and green development. The development of AI technology with innovative innovations, focusing on new quality productive forces has set the goal of achieving self-reliance in the technology sector. To expand domestic demand, improve investment capacity and take steps towards strengthening the united national market. China intends to strengthen the institutions of a socialist market economy with high standards. The Belt and Road aims to promote cooperation and work to preserve pluralism.
