Breakfast | Children's breakfast for children.. The government has not yet approved the menu!

Breakfast | Hyderabad, June 7 (Namaste Telangana): The breakfast scheme that will be given to the students of government schools in the state is not missing children. There are no conditions where this scheme will be implemented simultaneously throughout the state. At present, the authorities are planning to start only in some schools, that too in Greater Hyderabad. While the school education department has prepared a menu for the implementation of the scheme, the government has not given its approval yet. This file is under examination by the government. Apart from schools, the government also says that breakfast will be implemented in government junior colleges. Even though the colleges started on June 1, the breakfast scheme was not implemented. Schools are going to reopen from 15th of this month. It is doubtful whether breakfast will be served on the first day. .

Kitchens in market yard spaces

It has been announced in the state budget that the breakfast scheme will be started in Sarkar schools, government and aided junior colleges from the new academic year. 20.32 lakh students from nursery to inter will be provided breakfast and milk. Rs.540 crores have been allocated for breakfast and Rs.180 crores for milk. However, breakfast scheme in schools and mid-day meal scheme in junior colleges should also be started. The government has decided to take up the preparation of breakfast and mid-day meals in inter-colleges across the state through centralized kitchens. 39 centralized kitchens are expected to be required across the state.

These will be built in market yard places. 299 crores will be spent for the construction of kitchens. While the government will bear 70% of the cost for this, the remaining 30% of the funds will have to be spent by the company that won the tender. TGEWDIC has invited interested companies as part of the tender process. The deadline for submission of tenders ended on Saturday. Tender bids will be opened on Monday. In this context, it is believed that there is a possibility of providing breakfast only in schools in Greater Hyderabad.
