  • Ministers’ anger against officials of welfare departments
  • How about making us responsible for late approvals?
  • Senior IASs are complaining about the behavior of the ministers

Hyderabad, June 17 (Namaste Telangana): ‘We have given a word to the students and parents. If it is not given yet, what should we answer?’ While the Ministers of Welfare Department Azharuddin, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman and Seethakka questioned. In the second week, we gave the order to a company from Gujarat, not from here. The material has not yet come from them. After it comes they should be stitched and given to the children. This will take time. The entire process takes at least three months to complete. You are talking as if it is our fault.

There is nothing wrong with us’ is the reply of the senior officials of the welfare departments. Officials say that the ministers who have promised to provide uniforms before the school starts should start making arrangements at least three months before. It is explained that after the decision of the government, it will take at least four months until the tender process, the selection of cloth, the uniforms are stitched and handed back to the women’s groups. Officials are complaining that if the ministers think that everything should be done within a month, they promised without estimating all this.

A mess of uniforms

The issue of supply of uniforms in the key welfare departments of the state government is causing scandal. The government has promised to provide uniforms to all the students before the opening of schools in the state. But it is not feasible in practice. Because of this, the ministers and officials are blaming each other saying that you are the reason. Two days ago, Ministers Azharuddin, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman and Seethakka arranged a meeting with the officials of the concerned welfare departments. On this occasion, there was a heated discussion on the supply of school uniforms. Ministers are disappointed with the behavior of the officials. They said that the government is not working according to what it says and they are acting in a way that undermines the goals of the government. It is known that if the government allocates Rs.675 crores for uniforms for Gurukul students, they should have used them to bring clothes and expressed anger that the behavior of the officials is causing loss to the government.

Funds not fully given..

It is learned that the senior IAS officer who is in charge of the welfare departments has strongly criticized the attitude of the ministers. Why are the officials being promoted? The decision was taken in the month of May. There was a delay when the tender process was completed and the order was placed. In addition to this, the company that won the tender has not yet received full funds. They say that they will not distribute the money even if the entire amount is paid. Even in the past, we have distributed uniforms till September,’ said the senior official. However, the ministers, who did not back down, tried to control the senior official that it was the government’s decision to supply uniforms to the Gurukul students, the CM had discussed this issue several times and if the officials did not cooperate, they would have to say the same in the cabinet meeting.

Officers who have been harassed.. are ready to go on leave

It is known that the welfare department officials who attended the meeting were deeply dissatisfied with the behavior of many ministers. In response to this, a senior IAS officer was prepared to go on leave, but a senior officer from the CMO agreed. However, a senior IAS officer is learned to have said that he cannot work in such an environment and will go on leave.
