KU Hostel | Hanumakonda Square, June 28: Kakatiya University’s (KU) hostel mess on Sunday morning caused a stir when worms were found in the upma served to students. Students who found worms in tiffin expressed deep concern. They were angry at the negligence of the university authorities.
KU students alleged that the hostel mess does not provide quality food. He recalled that worms and iron nails were found in the food in the past. He expressed concern that quality food is not being served in the mess, uncooked rice and water are being served. He lamented that even though such incidents are happening, the authorities are not taking action. The hostel director and joint director complained several times but the problems were not resolved.
The students expressed concern that such incidents are recurring due to lack of proper supervision in the management of the mess. He said that non-borders are also being served meals in the university mess. Due to this, the hostel students are not being provided enough food. They immediately demanded changes in the management of the mess and to provide quality and clean meals.
