Former minister Koppula Eshwar has demanded that the state government should support the Gita workers in the wake of the burning of palm forests in Dharmaram mandal center of Peddapalli district.
Dharmaram, May 24 : Former minister Koppula Eshwar has demanded that the state government should support the Gita workers in the wake of the burning of palm forests in Dharmaram mandal center of Peddapalli district. On Saturday, palm forests near Salandri in the suburbs of Dharmaram were gutted by fire. After learning about the matter, Ishwar inspected the burnt palm trees along with the party leaders on Sunday. On this occasion, he said that it is sad that 11 acres of palm trees were burnt in a fire accident.
He said that due to the burning of palm forests, the local Gita workers have suffered a lot. They demanded that the state government provide adequate compensation to the palm tree workers and plant new forests in place of the burnt palm forests. On this occasion, Ishwar reminded that the former CM KCR had raised 5 crores of palm trees and supported Geetha workers in all ways in the previous BRS government.
