According to the locals, at around 10.45 am, the staff of PMJ Jewelery in Jyotinagar opened the shop and put jewelery on display from the lockers. At that time five thugs on two bikes entered the shop. They showed guns and tried to take the jewelry. When the staff tried to stop them, 7-8 rounds were fired at them. Later, they took the gold jewelery in a big bag and ran away. Four people were injured in this firing. One of them seems to be in serious condition.
The police immediately reached the spot after receiving the information about the theft in the jewelery shop. Clues team collected clues. Some bullet shells and gun magazine were recovered from the spot.
