If you make a mistake once, it can be called a mistake. But what about going on the counter-attack to cover up the mistakes that have been made over and over again? The Hyderabad Maha Nagar Bhivriddhi Sanstha (HMDA) has started booking a sensational research article titled ‘Big Loot… Route Separate’ published by Namaste Telangana on Wednesday.
- Caught by mistake.. Officers counter attack
- The announcement is that the alignment change is for the sake of the people
- Covering the survey number as a typographical error
- HMDA issued a statement with inconsistent details
Hyderabad City Bureau, May 20 (Namaste Telangana): Once you make a mistake, you can call it a mistake. Whether the behind-the-scenes elders were disturbed by that story… or they wanted to give a covering statement to cover up the mistake… If we look at the explanation given by the officials on Wednesday evening about the Namaste story, it must be that HMDA has been sidelined again. Officials have said in their announcement that a hundred feet road which is not needed just for Big Brothers’ real danda. The officials who have blocked many road expansion projects that were proposed in the past and which are still needed.. But in Manchirevu, the motive behind giving the notification in a hurry has been proved by the accusations made directly by the daughter of Minister Konda Surekha. In this context, the announcement released by the HMDA officials.
Is the description consistent?
In a statement issued by the HMDA officials, ‘We will revise the alignments of the proposed roads in the master plan according to the demand. A 24 meter (80 feet) road proposed in Masterplan-2031 will pass through Survey No. 298 in Manchirevu. To this effect we have given a notification in two dailies on 12.11.2025. In it the survey number was published as 298 instead of 293. HMDA wrote a letter on January 9, 2026 stating that this is a typographical error (typing mistake). According to that, we have given an amendment notification in those two newspapers again on 14.1.2026’, he explained. If this is true…
- On 12th November, 2025, the authorities who had issued the notification in two newspapers must have given a deadline of 15 days for objections. After the expiry of that period, the review process will be completed and proposals will be sent to the government for issuance of gazette. But the officials here say that on January 9, 2026, they found that the survey number was wrongly published. That is, how many proposals were not sent to the government until about 48 days after the notification was given? Why gazette was not issued?
- Why did the officials who had previously given notification in two dailies give another notification (DIPR RO No.12881-PP/CL/ADVT/1/2025-26, Dated: 31.12.2025) in a leading Telugu daily on 01.01.2026? Why was that not mentioned in the statement released on Wednesday? If the same error (298 instead of 293) is repeated in the notification given within 40 days, then the HMDA officials are admitting that the negligence of the authorities is to that extent?
- It is said that they realized that it was a typing error on January 9, 2026 and gave a correction notification on the 14th. This means that the authorities themselves admit that the notification process is not over yet. Moreover, the specific provision in the notification is to give 15 days time for objections. That means the deadline has not expired. And then how did the state government issue a gazette regarding this hundred feet road on January 7, 2026?
- Should people believe that even after the government issued the final gazette, HMDA is still wrestling with notifications, error detection and amendment notifications?
- Officials admitted that they had noticed on January 9, 2026 that they had wrongly published survey number 298 instead of 293. If that is true…how come the correct survey number i.e. 293 was published in the final gazette issued by the government on January 7? Did the people who printed the gazette notice this mistake and corrected it without the knowledge of the HMDA officials?
- If all this is a lift… In the statement released by the HMDA officials, there is no mention that the government has issued the final gazette. That means not only in the alignment of the hundred feet of the road.. and finally in the press release, the reason why the officials are so secretive is an open secret. Whom is the HMDA master plan department, which has displayed the majesty of Namaste Telangana to mislead the people, with the false amendments it has given so far?
Why was it canceled if it was an old road?
In the statement, the officials explained the technical reason for changing the road alignment of 100 feet in HMDA’s ‘Masterplan-2031’. In 2017, considering the objection given by the then Sarpanch of Manchirevu, Praveen Yadav, in 2019, JIO 237 was issued canceling the alignment passing through the village. But in the same statement, officials said that the missing link road from Bairagiguda to Narsinghi is not new. 2008 HUDA, 2013 HMDA made it clear that it is in the master plan. And why was the old one canceled in 2019? Officials should know that. Officials say that the current proposed road is for public benefit. If this is true… In 2004, the same Congress government constructed a hundred feet road from the service road next to the outer ring road to Mantri Villas. It will be connected to Shankarpally-Hyderabad road if the authorities widen it for public interest. Without doing that, what is the intention behind making the existing hundred feet of road a dead end.. and twisting another alignment from the middle of it? While the owner of more than 16 acres of land is making many efforts behind the scenes in the tax department for a hundred feet road.. is it not concluded that the current alignment on one side of that land is for the benefit of the said builder? Especially due to this alignment many common people who have bought 500 and 1000 yard plots will suffer. Apart from this, the front part of Bitro apartment is also getting damaged due to the widening of the road. But in the statement released by the authorities, they lied that no one suffered any disruption or loss.
