Farmers protested in front of the Guruvannapet substation of Komuravelli mandal of Siddipet district on Saturday, saying that there was a situation of lack of electricity supply or drying up of crops. Speaking on this occasion, they expressed concern that the government did not provide proper electricity to the agriculture sector when there was heavy rains or problems, and the condition of rice and other crops dried up.
Komuravelli, July 25: Farmers protested in front of the Guruvannapet substation of Komuravelli mandal of Siddipet district on Saturday, alleging that there was a situation of drying up of crops or power supply. Speaking on this occasion, they expressed concern that the government did not provide proper electricity to the agriculture sector when there was heavy rains or problems, and the condition of rice and other crops dried up.
He mentioned that quality electricity was available 24 hours during the KCR government, and at that time there was a situation where they had to stop the motors themselves after the water was high. He said that current supply is not correct even for the announced times and we are facing severe difficulties. Officials have expressed concern that there should be continuous supply of electricity to the agriculture sector, otherwise the crops will be damaged and suffer losses.
