Farmers Protest | Farmers who lose their lands as part of the construction of the Kodungal Lifting Scheme on Sunday on the national highway.
Narayanpet: Farmers who lose their land as part of the Kodangal Lifting Scheme have made rastaroko on Sunday. Farmers of the villages of Katrepalli, Ernanagipally and Kachwar have conducted a writing on the national highway demanding the establishment of a commission to set the basic price for land.
Farmers in the Maktal and Ootkur zones have shouted slogans against the government, demanding that the government pay adequate compensation. Leaders of all parties participated in the protest of the farmers. The compensation given to the farmers of the Lagacharla demanded that the Narayanpet-Kodungal bidders be given land residents.
Chief Minister Revant Reddy urged the government to provide irrigation water to the constituency of Kodungal, from Katrepalli to Kankurthi village in Narayanpet district, and demanded that the land acquisition be carried out only after compensation for the farmers who are losing their land due to the lifting.
He accused the farmers of ignoring the difficulties of the farmers and to come to the farmers’ farms and surveys and forced the award copies at the farmers. Farmers who lose land will not be given land unless they are compensated under the Land Acquisition Act of 2013. Rastarako has been disrupted by traffic on either side.
