The RTC workers, who have gone on strike across the state since yesterday, have called for a mahadharna in front of all the RTC depots on the second day. As part of this, driver Shankar Goud, who participated in the dharna in front of the Narsampeta depot on Thursday, poured petrol on his stool and set it on fire.
The allied workers were immediately alerted and extinguished the fire. The seriously injured driver was shifted to Warangal Hospital for treatment as his condition was critical.
