ADR Report: Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar became the richest Chief Minister in the country. His assets are worth around 1413 crores. According to the ADR report, there are 89 criminal cases against Telangana CM Revanth Reddy.
New Delhi: Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar has become the richest Chief Minister in the country. His assets are worth around 1413 crores. Out of 31 chief ministers in the country, only four are billionaires. However, the Association for Democratic Reforms Report has revealed that the average assets of the Chief Ministers are 118.07 crores. But DK Shivakumar is on the top in the list of richest CM. The remaining three are AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu, TVK chief Joseph Vijay and Arunachal Pradesh BJP CM Prema Khandu. According to the report, Chandrababu’s assets are worth 931 crores, CM Vijay’s assets are 648 crores and Prema Khandu’s assets are 332 crores. ADR has stated in its report that the wealth is identified based on financial, criminal and educational background analysis of the Chief Ministers.
Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s assets are worth 7.81 crores. He studied PG. He listed his profession as pensioner, private contractor and self-employed travel guide. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s assets are worth 1.97 crores and he is a 12th pass. Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s assets are worth 5.31 crores. Graduated and also a professional advocate. Haryana CM Nayab Saini’s assets are worth 5.80 crores and he has a degree. Also owner of stone crusher. Data was collected on the basis of affidavits submitted at the time of election. Out of 31 Chief Ministers, 14 CMs have criminal cases against them.
NCP leader Omar Abdullah (Rs. 55 lakhs), Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari (Rs. 85 lakhs) and Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma (Rs. crore) are among those with lesser assets. CM Omar Abdullah’s real estate has not been disclosed. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy is at the top among the Chief Ministers with the highest number of criminal cases. There are 89 criminal cases against CM Revanth. It is mentioned in ADR that there are criminal cases against all 14 CMs. 29 cases against Suvendu Adhikari, 19 cases against Shivakumar, 19 cases against Chandrababu Naidu, 18 cases against Satishan, 5 cases against Hemant Soren, 4 cases against Fadnavis, 4 cases against Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, 2 cases against Joseph Vijay, 2 cases against Samrat Chaudhary, Sikkim PS There is one case against Tamang, one against Bhagwantman, one against Mohan Charan’s ex and one against Bhajan Lal Sharma. In financial terms, out of 31 CMs, the assets of 15 CMs are between 11 crores and 49 crores. But the assets of both the CMs are less than one crore. The ADR report states that the total assets of 31 CMs are worth 3660 crores.
