Hyderabad: Telangana Police Department’s main objective is the welfare of police personnel and their families, State DGP C.V. Anand (DGP CV Anand) made it clear. In the review meeting of the Police Welfare Society and Arogya Bhadratha departments held at the DGP office on Monday, the implementation of welfare schemes, their progress and future activities were reviewed.

On this occasion, the DGP said that the department is effectively implementing many welfare programs to improve the living standards of police personnel and provide financial and social security to their families. He said that merit scholarships and meritorious scholarships are being offered to promote talent among police children. He also said that we are promoting higher education by providing special financial assistance and scholarships to students who are preparing for JEE, NEET as well as national and state level competitive exams.

The DGP explained that comprehensive financial security is being provided to the staff through welfare schemes like marriage loans, medical loans, education loans, merit scholarships, meritorious scholarships, additional corpus insurance and various grants. It has been suggested that the welfare services should be fully digitized and transparency and accountability should be enhanced and welfare committees should be set up according to status.

He said that the rental rates of the commercial complexes belonging to the department should be decided in a transparent manner and should be leased in a manner that is accessible to the staff and the public. DG Mahesh M. Bhagwat, ADG Sanjay Jain, Shahnawaz Qasim, Gajarao Bhupal, Uday Kumar Reddy, Sarath Kumar, Gopi Reddy, Srinivas Reddy and other senior officials participated in this meeting.
