The NDSA team visited the project within a week after the incident of pillar collapse in Block-7 of Medigadda Barrage. Still it submitted the reports without doing any tests and without conducting a thorough investigation.
- The decision on water lifting rests with the state government
- NDSA on Kaleswaram Khullankhulla!
- Whether to give Kaleshwaram water to the farmers in drought conditions is entirely the state government’s decision
- Our scope is only up to safety and structural strength of barrages.. It has nothing to do with the government’s decision: NDSA
- The plan of Revanth Sarkar, who has hidden the project all these years under the word of report, is in vain.
- The decision on lifting of water for the wider purpose of Kaleshwaram project rests with the state government
- Government can take decision during drought
- Clarification by NDSA member Rakesh Toteja
- Sarkar’s drama on the pretext of NDSA report
- Revanth lied that he told not to fill the barrage and not to lift the water.
- With the same crookedness, the project was abandoned and water was poured into AP
- NDSA announcement exposes treason
The conspiracy was exposed. Revanth Sarkar’s plan on Kaleswaram was foiled. The wickedness of the Congress government, which obstructed the report of the National Dam Safety Authority, and put the pretense on the BRS, and delayed the removal of water for all these years, has come to light. The hypocrisy of the Congress, which has been blindfolded all these years by saying that the NDSA has told them not to fill the water tanks, not to lift the water for cultivation and drinking purposes, has come out. The NDSA has argued that water elevations are not their purview and the decision lies with the state government. Sarkar’s lies as the witness of Lord Kaleshwar.
The Congress government has shelved the project with an interest in Kaleswaram and a faction in KCR. The fields were dried up. Even if the farmer asked for irrigation water, BRS did not listen to it. The mask of the Revanth government, which played drama all these years without revealing the report given by the NDSA on Medigadda, has now been removed. NDSA has revealed that they have nothing to do with Kaleshwaram water elevation and they have never told us not to raise water.
They concluded that they are only a technical committee for project construction and safety. Arguing that there is no water in Palamuru, the government had to undertake vetn in the end. The government, which does not run the motors of Gods, has to turn on the pumps. It is a government that will not move to release irrigation water unless BRS pressures it. Lifeline of Telangana that will stand the test of time.. Kaleshwaram! Kalpavalli Kaleswaram to cure drought! All the conspiracies woven around the great will must collapse at any time!
Hyderabad, July 22 (Namaste Telangana): A team of NDSA visited the project within a week after the pillar collapse incident in Block-7 of Medigadda Barrage. Still it submitted the reports without doing any tests and without conducting a thorough investigation. Keeping in view the rainy season, all the gates of Medigadda Barrage should be opened. Moreover, in the context of construction on the same riverbed, there is a possibility of problems similar to Medigadda in Annaram and Sundilla, it suggested that tests should be done there and those barrages should also be opened till then. The final report will be submitted in April 2025 after a year. Guidelines have been issued on the restoration work to be done. Despite the report, the Congress government has neglected to do things in that direction for a year and a half. The NDSA chairman himself condemned the government in this regard. Meanwhile, on the one hand, there is a drought situation across the state, on the other hand, the water from Pranahita is being wasted downstream, and the BRS is protesting the government at every step to remove it from Kannepally, which is a part of the Kaleswaram project. Moreover, the retired engineers of Telangana also clarified that water can be lifted from the barrages.
Wrote a letter to the government. BJP MP Etala Rajender also questioned the government. Moreover, even if there is no technical storage of water in Medigadda, now life-threatening water can be lifted from Kannepally, and the seepage problems that arose in the Annaram and Sundilla barrages above have been prevented in the past and the authorities also reveal that they are ready for use. But the Revanth Sarkar is repeatedly saying that the barrages cannot be used and there is no way to lift the water, citing the previous reports of the NDSA as an excuse. Instead of lifting the water from Kannepally, it leaves the water in vain downstream. Besides, Bhadrachalam is making absurd claims that it will sink. The latest NDSA has revealed that all the campaigning done by the Congress so far has been futile. Lakshminarsimha Gupta, an NRI from Khammam district, gave a clear answer to the questions.
NRI letter to NDSA
Khammam District NRI Lakshminarsimha Gupta has recently mailed directly to NDSA in the wake of the Congress government’s campaign. He asked for clarification on the usage of barrages. In particular, the Kaleshwaram project is one of the world’s largest uplift irrigation projects and will play an important role in providing drainage, drinking water and industrial water supply in the state. In view of its size and importance, NDSA has been requested to thoroughly evaluate and confirm all aspects related to safety, structural soundness and maintenance standards of the project. He explained that although the BRS is demanding to take up lifts in the wake of drought, the government is insisting that the project cannot be used until the problems are resolved. Can the project be used safely during repairs? Or? He requested NDSA to clarify the issue. He asked that thorough inspections be conducted, structural condition of project components be assessed and appropriate corrective measures recommended where necessary so that farmers can get irrigation water.
The responsibility of lifting is the responsibility of the state government.
NDSA gave a clear reply to the mail sent by the NRI. It has concluded that the responsibility of the floods from Kaleswaram is entirely the policy decision of the state government and they have nothing to do with it. NDSA was established under the Dam Safety Act-2021. It explained that their organization works only for the prevention of dam failure-related disasters, which includes monitoring, inspection, maintenance and repair of specific dams, setting up organizational mechanisms to ensure their safe operation, and related aspects. NDSA said that their primary focus will be on the safety and structural integrity of dams and barrages. Regarding the planning of the respective projects, it has been concluded that the operational decisions of where and for what use the water will be taken will not come under their purview.
It has been clarified that the decisions related to the allocation and use of water for irrigation and drinking water in drought conditions are the policy aspects of the respective state governments. A technical monitoring committee has been formed under the auspices of Central Jalshakti for the safety and rehabilitation of Medigaddabaraj and its ancillary structures, headed by a technical member of NDSA, Central Water Corporation (CWC) along with CWPRS (Central Water and Power Research Station), Central Soil and Material Research Station. (CSMRS) and other organizations experts are members. Should water be sent to the farmers from Kaleswaram? don’t you It replied that SDSA has no role in operational and policy decisions. NDSA asserted that the state government has the power to take a decision after comprehensively examining the water usage issue and keeping in mind the benefits expected from the project.
The NDSA (National Dam Safety Authority) report revealed that the gates of Annaram and Sundilla barrages including Medigadda should be opened. As per the instructions of NDSA, we will use the barrages after completing all the tests and renovation works. Until then, there is no lifting of water. However, it is misleading to demand that the water be lifted. The Center has recently constituted a special technical monitoring committee for the rehabilitation of barrages. Along with providing technical advice to the proposals for restoration of barrages, investigations, construction works, quality control, any changes must be informed to the committee. The government will proceed according to those instructions. But along with KCR, KTR, Harish Rao, now Etala Rajender is also demanding that the water be removed. NDSA should be convinced to fill the barrages with water. That responsibility should be taken. Then the government will also come forward. – These are the comments made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently
But it has become clear that all the words of the Congress government are false. It is clear that Revanth Sarkar is deliberately stalling the project on the pretext of NDSA. The latest revelations by NDSA are proof of that. All the government’s propaganda has been concluded to be a hoax. It has been clarified that they will only focus on the safety and structural strength of dams and barrages. The NDSA has said that the planning of projects, where and for what purpose the water will be used will not come under their purview, especially in drought conditions, the decisions related to the allocation for cultivation and drinking water are the responsibility of the respective state governments.
