Hyderabad, July 18 (Namaste Telangana): The committee has decided to set up a committee with 12 officials to resolve water disputes between Telangana and AP. Recently, the CMs of the two states, led by Union Minister of State for Power CR Patil in Delhi, recently met CMs. It was decided to set up a special committee within a week to resolve the issues and to report within a matter of months. It is reported that the committee has come to a consensus with 12 people. The Secretary of the Jal Power Department, the Central Water Commission (CWC) CEOs from the Center has decided to head the committee and five from AP and Telangana have decided to be members of the committee.
It is reported that the two -state irrigation secretaries, ENCs, CEO level officials and interstate wing officers will be taken into the committee. The State Level Technical Advisory Committee has approved the construction of two minor irrigation projects in the state on Saturday. Nagarjunasagar has granted hydraology clearance on the left canal at Venkatayapalem to provide a small pond on Kattavagu at Mylardevrampally in Vikarabad district and to water the Raghunathpalem ponds in Khammam district.
