- Eminent lawyer Immaneni’s complaint
Hyderabad, July 11 (Namaste Telangana): A case has been registered in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) against six murders due to gross negligence of the police in the POCSO case. The NHRC has registered a case against Shabad CI Kantareddy and SI Ramesh who failed to provide protection to the family of a POCSO victim despite being warned in advance that there was danger to her life from the accused.
The NHRC took these steps after human rights lawyer Rama Rao Immaneni complained on Saturday against the negligent attitude of the police and demanded justice for the victims. In his complaint, the lawyer said that this was a complete failure of the police and strict action should be taken against the responsible CI and SI. He demanded immediate protection and huge compensation to the affected families. He requested NHRC to respond quickly and speed up the investigation in this case.
