- Tenders for the 3rd time for the sale of Makkah
Hyderabad, May 23 (Namaste Telangana): The government has once again called for tenders for the sale of monsoon trees. Meanwhile, the new provision was brought to the fore for the first time in the Markfed tender process. It is reliably known that it has been decided to set the base price (minimum) price for the tenders of Makkah. It is informed that the minimum price of Rs.1700 per quintal has been fixed as part of this. In this context, the bidders participating in the auction have to bid above the minimum price. The bid hike price has been fixed at a minimum of Rs.100 per tonne. There are differences of opinion on the introduction of minimum price system. It is known that this decision was taken to increase the tender price. However, there are doubts as to the extent to which this experiment will be successful.
Will the bidders come forward at this price? Or..? Questions are also coming. The previous tenders were canceled by the government due to low price. An average price of Rs.1,410 per quintal was called for tenders for the sale of 3.8 lakh tonnes of mackerel. Officials have estimated that Markfed may incur a loss of over Rs 400 crore if it is sold at this price. In this background, those tenders were canceled and tenders were called again. In this context, while the price was Rs.1410 in the previous tenders, in this tender, the minimum price was fixed at Rs.1700. In fact, the price of cattle in the open market ranges from Rs.1600-Rs.1800 per quintal. Questions are also being raised whether bidders will come forward for Rs.1700 in such circumstances.
