That is why the State Cabinet approved the Next Generation Life Sciences Policy 2026-30. The policy was formally unveiled at Davos. Through this policy, we aim to attract 5 lakh jobs and 25 billion dollars of investment in the next five years. We will make it a destination for huge investments in the fields of life sciences, pharma, biotech and medical innovation. We will provide good opportunities to the youth in the fields of research, manufacturing, digital health and global innovation.
If so far the focus has been on manufacturing, from now on we will focus more on valuable innovation. We are making a change in this policy so that research and development (R&D) units are also recognized as industries. This policy will be useful for global capability centers and global innovation centers to come to Telangana,” the cabinet said.
