Hyderabad/ Mahabubnagar, July 24 (Namaste Telangana Representative): AP is once again losing to Telangana. The Babu government is diverting Krishna’s waters in our water. Floods began in the Krishna Basin from the first week of June this year. Still, the flood in millions of cusecs is continuing, and the flood is coming to Rayalaseema. Nagarjunasagar should always be filled with 275 tmcc from the side of Jura and 65 tmc from Tungabhadra. However, unofficial information is that about 100 tmc of water has been moved through the KC Canal from the Sunkesu reservoir along with the Potireddipadu, Muchummarri and Handriniva on the AP.

The Srisailam reservoir is based on the backwater of the Potireddipadu Head Regulatory and is now moving 40,000 cusecs. The Mukhummarri Lift Irrigation Scheme was built at Mukhummarri in Kurnool district. The scheme was proposed to pump 798 feet of water in the Srisailam reservoir. The scheme is used to meet the 49,440 acres of reefs under Kesicanal. Handri-Neva Sujala Sravanthi Project is the longest canal in the Rayalaseema region. The project was designed to diversify flood water from the Srisailam reservoir and provide irrigation and drinking water. The first phase of the canal begins at Mallya and drains in four districts of Rayalaseema. Currently, water is diverted from two rivers to the respective canals.

Our projects are good

The floods began in the last week of May this year for the Krishna and Tungabhadra rivers. Despite the huge scale schemes on the Tungabhadra and Krishna rivers on the AP side, Telangana is one of the joint Palamuru district and the other from Jura to Srisailam. The RDS Dam was built in Karnataka area on Tungabhadra. The canal, which starts from Karnataka, is 143 km long. The canal is 60 km long in the Alampur constituency.

Only 600 cusecs of water are released from Tungabhadra per day. The Kalvakurthi Lifting Scheme, built in the Kolhapur constituency, is intended for cultivation and drinking water. However, only 1,500 cusecs of water are dumped during the flood. Criticism of stopping the release of water for 40 days a year. Former minister Harish Rao released water on July 8 in the wake of warnings. So far only three TMCs of water have been utilized from these waivers. Its capacity is 1,500 cusecs per day.

Water calculations?

In fact, in the first phase of the telemetry system for registration of water release figures at Potireddipadu Headregulatory, in 2018. However, the committee set up by the KRMB said in its report that the system was not good. The telemetry to be installed at the 600th meter at the bottom of Potireddipadu has been converted to 12.26 km, and the point is inappropriate, and the non -contact radar sensor equipped there is not suitable. Nagarjunasagar, except at Srisailam, is nowhere to be found in the telemetry. In flexible areas, it is recommended to set up flexible sensors. Joint Inspection Teams, led by the officials of the two states, decided to take into account the official statistics of the calculated water statistics until the telemetry was made available.

Since then, the Joint Inspection Team has been providing the statistics on the KRMB website from time to time. However, now the Congress and AP in Telangana, TDP Sararu is not even manually taking the figures, the officials say that the board is registering. The Krishna River Ownership Board and Srisailam irrigation officials say that the AP is moving the flood coming from Jura to Srisailam.

Indent, move without order

There are no indents. The Trishabhya Committee is discussed. There are no water release orders. However, the Andhra Pradesh government has already begun the evacuation of Krishna waters. Already, 23 TMCs have been diverted from Potireddipadu headregulatory, while Nagarjunasagar has recently dumped water from the right. The Telangana government has taken the KRMB letters to the AP government to stop the diversion of the Krishna River ownership and diversion of water to stop the AP, and the actions taken by the KRMB letters. In fact, the Trishabhya Committee will decide what extent the state will utilize water reservoirs in joint reservoirs from June 1 to May 31.

The committee, comprising the ENC (Engineer -in -Chief) of the Board Member Secretary and the two states, will have to hold meetings from time to time. Considering the dumps of the state and the available water, the two states have to allocate water shares. To that end, the board will issue water from the outlets of the projects to release water in due time. However, the Trishabhya Committee has not held a meeting for this year’s water year. Both states have not submitted water indents to the board. However, the AP government has already diverted Krishna waters from Srisailam.

The board is looking at

KRMB is looking at the diversion of AP water without indent and water release orders. For 20 days, nothing has been taken. The Telangana government has complained to the board for the latest diversion of AP waters. The letter was written seeking to stop the AP. Responding to this, the board wrote to the AP to quote the letter of Telangana to stop the diversion of water. Moreover, the board has not taken any action to prevent the diversion of water. Last year it was similar. In the last eight months, the AP has diverted more than 240 tmc of water to the Penna Basin in the last water year. At the bottom, the AP continues to move Krishna waters through the right and pumphouse at Nagarjunsagar. Official statistics show that the AP has moved more than 650 TMCs. The calculations of the divergent waters are not accurately disclosed.

Without filling all the projects in the basin ..

From Srisailam Reservoir Fourshore, AP Potireddipadu Headroegulatory (PRP), Telugu Ganga Project (TGP), SRBC (Srisailam Right Branch Canal), Mallya and Muchamarri lifts. Of these, TGP has 15 TMCs and SRBC 19 TMCs have only 34 TMCs. They should be moved from the PRP not only in the stipulated quantity, rather than simultaneously. In addition, the rest of the outlets are based on flood waters. This means that after all the projects in the basin are filled, the water will be diverted through the outlets of the sea while the water is released to the sea. But, the AP is acting on the contrary.

Nagarjunasagar and the bottom of the tamarind projects have not reached full water capacity. There are still 75 TMCs in combination. However, the AP has taken up the diversion of water from the PRP since July 6. 23 TMCs have been diverted in the last 20 days. In addition, the Mallya Lift has started diversion of water to the Handriniva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS). Nagarjunasagar has now started evacuating Krishna waters through the Srisailam Reservoir.
