Hyderabad: The state government has come down on the agitation undertaken by former minister Harish Rao under BRS to provide irrigation water to farmers. Harish Rao demanded that 10 motors should be switched on in the Devada project and water should be provided to the farmers. In the face of opposition from the farmers, the Congress government has turned on 9 motors in the Devada project. This has flooded the Sammakka Sagar project. Presently Sammakka Sagar inflow is 40,200 cusecs and outflow is 38,410 cusecs. Officials are lifting a total of 1790 cusecs of water.
