Intellectuals and various political parties are criticizing the lack of speech on the strike of RTC workers in the state. Earlier RTC workers went on strike in 2019. Babu, a driver from Karimnagar depot, died of a heart attack on October 30.

• Rush during BRS government
• Now why is the 'RTC' strike?
• The anger of the workers is that they are paying attention to the Congress

Warangal, April 23 (Namaste Telangana Spokesperson): Intellectuals and various political parties are criticizing the state for not talking about the strike of RTC workers. Earlier RTC workers went on strike in 2019. Babu, a driver from Karimnagar depot, died of a heart attack on October 30. On November 1, MP Bandi Sanjay and BJP workers staged a dharna in Karimnagar with Babu's dead body. The funeral rally was rushed.

And the workers are questioning why Bandi Sanjay is not supporting the strike going on in the state for two days and why he is limited to statements in the case of Shankar Goud. Kodandaram, who said that it is everyone's right to protest in a democracy, is protesting where Kodandaram has gone now. Where are all the intellectuals who said that it is wrong for the government to remain silent on the strike, democratic values and duties of citizens? Can't they see Shankar Goud who committed suicide by pouring petrol on his stool in Narsampet? 'That's it, Akuna..

But are you acting as if it is 'Kanchana'?... These are the questions asked by the RTC workers and their families at Warangal MGM Hospital on Thursday. The intellectuals who incited the RTC workers to go on strike during KCR's regime have been widely criticized for not responding even a single word for two days. The self-proclaimed intellectuals are angry that the RTC workers, who are suffering under the red sun and are on strike, have not at least expressed their solidarity.

Are these fair demands?

The families of the RTC workers are expressing their grief that some people are acting as if the strike is unjust, while they are not expressing solidarity with them who have gone on strike for the pursuit of their just demands. It is known that during the regime of BRS, the bill to finalize the process of merger of RTC with the government was approved in the assembly. Recognizing the workers as government employees, the procedures for this have been included in the bill itself.

But the workers are alleging that some forces are preventing the governor from signing the bill and issuing a gazette notification. They claim that they are only asking to complete the process which was brought to the last stage by the KCR government. Breadwinner, contract and outsourcing workers should be made permanent, hired bus drivers should be merged into the company, the plan of privatization of the company should be abandoned, electric buses should be purchased by the government and handed over to the RTC, the government should bear the loss of Rs. Saying Are they fair demands for strengthening RTC and providing RTC for future generations? The workers are asking.

Is this strike unfair?

Is the strike of RTC workers acceptable to Kodandaram or not? The RTC workers are asking directly. Some retired IAS officers who have been working to gather opposition against the KCR government are now criticizing it for not speaking up. 'The sound of the murlighan that was heard so well then... will it be quiet now?' That is what they are doing.

It is argued that the intellectuals are haunted by the fear that their heroic loyalty to the Revanth Sarkar will be tarnished and their personal interests will be compromised. Couldn't they see even a minimum of humane response? The workers are feeling that. The RTC workers and their families are criticizing that whatever was done during the BRS regime was wrong. They warn that if they don't put aside political bias and selfish agenda, they will have to declare their attitude towards them.
